Part-Time Accountant
Integra Accountants Ltd are looking for a part-time Accountant to support with day-to-day accounting and client work. 15-20 hours per week with flexibility on working hours.
This is a remote role, working from home, with weekly check-ins and fortnightly in-person meet ups.
Main duties will include:
- Bookkeeping
- Preparing accounts, financial statements & working papers
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing management reports
- Reviewing financial information
- Assisting with tax returns, VAT returns and other HMRC filings
- Payroll & CIS support
- Supporting basic tax compliance and tax planning
- Making sure work follows accounting standards and regulations
- Speaking with clients and answering queries
- Working with senior team members to give clients clear and practical support
- Using accounting software, spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Managing deadlines and keeping client records up to date

The ideal candidate will have:

- Good bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisation skills
- Experience using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage One
- TaxCalc experience would be preferable
- Confidence using spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage more than one task at a time
- Some tax knowledge, including VAT and basic compliance
- Able to work independently from home
- Comfortable managing their own workload
- Proactive in asking questions when needed
- Friendly and confident speaking to clients
- Reliable with deadlines
- Experience working in an accountancy practice or professional services firm would be an advantage
- AAT, ACCA, ACA or similar qualification, or working towards one, would be preferred. Qualified by experience would be considered
