This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accountant based in United Kingdom.
As an Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting international accounting operations within a dynamic and fast-growing global environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to month-end and year-end closing activities across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with finance and cross-functional teams, you will help strengthen financial processes while supporting statutory reporting and regulatory compliance. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work independently, leverage automation and AI-driven tools, and contribute to continuous process improvements within a collaborative international team.
Accountabilities
- Record financial transactions accurately using ERP systems, including posting accounting entries and maintaining financial data integrity.
- Perform reconciliations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank accounts, payroll, and intercompany balances.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements, including VAT filings, corporate income tax filings, statutory financial statements, and other regulatory obligations.
- Assist with statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, and audit support activities.
- Analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and efficient accounting operations.
- Utilize automation and AI-enabled tools to improve accounting workflows and operational efficiency.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Post-qualification accounting experience in a corporate or international finance environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting practices.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar accounting platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
- Availability to work within the EMEA time zone.
- Experience working in remote environments is an advantage.
- Comfortable using automation technologies and AI tools to enhance accounting processes and productivity.
