Accountant (or Finance Assistant)

Location: England, Scotland, or Poland (fully remote) – or our local offices in Edinburgh or Warsaw.

Team: Finance


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated entry-level Accountant (or Finance Assistant) to join our Finance team. This role is vital in supporting accounting and compliance services across Hudson Talent Solutions, covering multiple legal entities in the region.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to learn, develop quickly, and gain exposure to a fast-paced, global business environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day accounting activities across seven legal entities in the region
  • Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Support audit preparation and documentation requirements
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to manage workload effectively
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls

About You

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (including internships/placements) is desirable
  • Studying towards—or interested in pursuing—an accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems is an advantage
