Role Description
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and maintaining accurate financial records. This full-time, on-site role is based in Karachi, Pakistan and includes preparing financial statements, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The Accountant will reconcile bank accounts, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, supporting audits, generating financial reports for management, and contributing to process improvements in financial controls and reporting.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
- Good understanding of financial controls, audit support, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or food industry accounting is beneficial.
