Financial Accountant

Job Summary

Onsite Monday – Friday 37.5 P/W.

Catalent Pharma Solutions is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team at our state-of-the-art Bathgate site. This is a key position at the heart of the Finance function, supporting strong financial control, robust processes, and high-quality reporting across the business.

Working in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing environment, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.

The Role

  • Managing and improving working capital, including cash flow forecasting processes.
  • Overseeing the shared service accounts payable process.
  • Ensuring all tax matters (VAT, Corporation Tax, capital allowances) are completed accurately and in line with statutory requirements.
  • Reconciling intercompany transactions and balances on a monthly basis.
  • Delivering fully reconciled monthly trial balances.
  • Supporting year-end audits and the preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities.
  • Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Building strong financial business partnering relationships across global finance and operational teams.
  • Supporting capital investment planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Providing accurate financial information and support to meet internal and client requirements.

The Candidate

  • Part-qualified AAT or ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including US GAAP.
  • Understanding of UK tax legislation (Desirable).
  • Experience in financial and management accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site, with occasional travel as required.
