Accountant
Gülermak Renewables is scaling up fast.
We're growing our energy portfolio across the UK and Europe, with a strong pipeline of solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. Our finance team spans the UK, Poland, and soon Germany, with a Financial Controller and Accountants
This is an exciting time to join us. As each renewable energy project lands, it gets its own dedicated set of accounts — meaning you'll be building financial structures not just maintaining what's already there. If you like the idea of helping shape a growing business, this role is for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- You'll work closely with our Financial Accountant in the UK and report into our Finance Manager in Poland, collaborating daily with colleagues across several countries.
- You'll get support from an experienced Financial Accountant to help you find your feet and feel confident from day one.
- From there, you'll have real ownership: managing UK statutory and tax compliance, supporting group reporting, and getting hands-on with the project accounting.
- You will also be responsible for:
- Preparing bookkeeping for quarterly reporting in IFS
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations
- Supporting Group reporting requirements across our UK, Polish, and German operations
- Setting up and maintaining separate project-level accounts as new solar and BESS projects are secured
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
- Preparing bank transfers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
