Accountant - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

W&A is partnering with a well-established investment management organisation to recruit an Accountant for a 12-month fixed term contract based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a collaborative finance team, taking ownership of a broad range of management and statutory reporting activities while working closely with stakeholders across the business.

The Opportunity

As an Accountant, you'll support the preparation of both management and statutory accounts while ensuring accurate financial reporting across several key areas of the business. Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting a variety of regulatory and compliance requirements.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to senior stakeholders, external auditors and multiple business functions, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to broaden their experience within financial services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
