Job Title
Our client is a premier, globally integrated provider of legal, fiduciary, and asset servicing solutions. As they continue to scale their operations out of the Cayman Islands, they are seeking a highly analytical and technically robust Accountant to manage a portfolio of complex, high-value alternative investment funds.
This role is ideal for a qualified accountant who thrives in a sophisticated financial environment, offering direct exposure to elite asset managers, complex derivative structures, and end-to-end client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Fund Administration & NAV Production
- End-to-End NAV Generation: Own the timely and accurate calculation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly NAVs for a diverse portfolio of complex alternative investment products.
- Portfolio Valuation & Reconciliation: Execute rigorous three-way reconciliations of cash, assets, and liabilities between investment managers, prime brokers, and custodians.
- Fee & Allocation Management: Validate complex partner/shareholder allocations, including intricate management and incentive fee structures, hurdle rates, and feeder-specific expenses.
- Structural Oversight: Review and interpret fund offering memoranda, side letters, and constitutional documents to ensure ongoing operational and valuation alignment.

Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Client Advisory: Act as a primary operational point of contact for institutional fund managers, investors, and elite third-party stakeholders.
- Onboarding Integration: Assist with the seamless integration and reconciliation of new business wins and fund launches.
Financial Reporting & Audit Defence
- Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation, drafting, and review of comprehensive audited financial reports (typically under US GAAP or IFRS).
- Audit Management: Lead the year-end and interim audit processes, coordinating directly with local, CIMA-approved external auditors to ensure swift and smooth control testing and substantive sign-offs.
Compliance, Systems & Quality Assurance
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure strict adherence to Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) regulations, Cayman AML/KYC legislation, and beneficial ownership transparency rules.
- Tax Transparency: Assist with ongoing investor self-certification, classification, and reporting under FATCA and CRS frameworks.
- Systems Evolution: Participate in specialized IT and systems development projects, executing quality assurance testing to optimize proprietary fund accounting platforms.

Candidate Profile
- Education & Qualification: University degree holding a recognized professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in alternative fund administration, with demonstrable exposure to complex securities, offshore structures, and derivative products.
- Technical Savvy: High level of expertise in Cayman alternative investment structures (e.g., exempted companies, standalone/master-feeder funds, private funds), valuation methodologies, and advanced fund accounting software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational agility to meet tight reporting deadlines, and a client-centric communication style.
