We're exclusively partnering with a prestigious art gallery that has been established for over 30 years. As the business enters an exciting new chapter, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant to play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a well-respected business.
This is a varied position offering plenty of autonomy, combining remote flexibility with the opportunity to work closely with the Directors in a unique and specialist industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance function
- Process sales and purchase ledger transactions
- Carry out bank reconciliations across GBP and foreign currency accounts
- Manage supplier payments and payment runs
- Produce monthly management accounts and P&L forecasts
- Maintain the nominal ledger and complete stock reconciliations
- Prepare debtor and creditor reports
- Process payroll and staff expenses
- Prepare VAT returns and liaise with external accountants during year-end
- Produce monthly cashflow forecasts and financial reports
- Support the Directors with day-to-day financial queries and reporting
- Ensure accurate financial records are maintained across all business activities

Requirements
- AAT qualified, part-qualified, fully qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or Accountant position
- Excellent understanding of bookkeeping principles and management accounts
- Strong knowledge of VAT processes and financial reporting
- Experience using Sage, Xero or similar accounting software
