Role Description
The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations for The Test Centre, including recording and reconciling transactions, preparing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include:

- Preparing financial reports
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting
- Monitoring cash flow
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
- Working closely with management to provide financial insights
- Supporting internal controls and audit requirements

This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, requiring regular collaboration with operational teams at the MOT testing station.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in a small or medium-sized business environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software and office tools (e.g., Excel or similar spreadsheets) and comfort with digital record-keeping.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to service-based businesses.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a busy on-site environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operational and management teams.
- Relevant accounting qualification or degree (e.g., AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or similar) and prior experience in an accounting role.
