Role Overview
- Job Title: Accountant (Development & Sales) x2
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours/week)
- Salary: Starting from £49,502 per annum (regional salary, dependent on experience)
- Grade: 10
- Location: Manchester, Trafford, UK
- Persona: Agile Worker – 20%-40% of contractual hours to be worked from Old Trafford office

About the Role
Join L&Q’s Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance Team and use your accounting expertise to drive strategic impact in the homes sector—helping deliver financial resilience while supporting L&Q’s mission: “High-quality housing for every community.”
You’ll collaborate across Finance, business areas, and stakeholders to:
- Provide insightful financial analysis for decision-making.
- Deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial standards and governance.

Your Impact
As an Accountant, you’ll take ownership of:
Leadership & Reporting
- Manage designated business areas with accurate, strategic financial services.
- Be a trusted business partner, translating financial data into actionable decisions.
- Support quarterly/monthly reporting, UK GAAP/IFRS compliance, and statutory returns.
Operational Excellence
- Conduct reconciliations, audits, and reconciliations in collaboration with external teams.
- Streamline financial processes, ensuring efficiency, value for money, and controls.
- Maintain financial records and systems, ensuring timely, transparent reporting.

Key Stakeholder Relationships
- Work closely with Finance colleagues, Business Unit leads, and external auditors.
- Act as a collaborative expert between Finance and operational teams.
Essential Requirements
