The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to take ownership of a client portfolio, delivering a full suite of accountancy services with a personal touch. You'll play a key role in building client relationships, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting clients' ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized clients across various sectors
- Oversee & deliver management accounts, statutory accounts, corporation tax & VAT services
- Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients to anticipate needs & deliver solutions
- Self-assessment tax filings for directors of client companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- MTD for IT for sole traders and landlords
- Identify opportunities to improve client processes through technology and best practices
- Collaborate with our wider team to ensure seamless service delivery and knowledge sharing

What we are looking for
- Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in a practice environment managing a portfolio of clients
- Sound knowledge of UK tax, VAT, and accounting regulations
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-centric approach
- Confidence using cloud-based accounting software
- A team player with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation
