What you'll bring to the team

Accountant - R2R

Location: London/Hybrid

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: FTC - Late 2026 End Date

You will play a crucial role in the Global Record to Report team, ensuring accurate and timely financial control, accounting, and reporting activities in compliance with company policies and standards. You will collaborate with various departments and key stakeholders to support the financial reporting process, drive best practices, and enhance process efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives using Visual Management tools. A core part of your role will involve completing key tasks within scheduled timelines while maintaining strong financial controls, and building robust relationships with Finance Hub and business colleagues to ensure delivery and provide measurable assistance.

Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting month-end reporting, achieving SLAs and KPIs, and upholding financial controls according to group policies. Your duties will include assisting with indirect tax, local tax, and ad hoc statistical reporting, as well as liaising with internal and external audit teams. You will evaluate and identify areas for process improvement within the Record to Report team, ensuring maximum efficiency. Your strong communication skills will be essential for coordinating month-end close activities across multiple functions, and your proactive approach will help drive activities to successful completion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with experience in a finance role.
  • Experience in a shared services environment, preferably within a similar operating model.
  • Proficient in month-end close processes and standardising finance processes.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of a robust control environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate month-end close across multiple functions.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a flexible and changing environment.
