Full-Cycle Accountant (Hybrid) – PSI UK

Job Description
This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the Oxfordshire office and 3 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting
- Process daily accounting transactions, including:
- Vendor invoices
- Payments
- Bank entries
- Journal postings
- Intercompany transactions
- Maintain accurate records across:
- General ledger
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Fixed assets
- Payroll-related postings
- Manage monthly employee expenses processing and reconciliation.

Monthly & Quarterly Closing
- Lead the monthly and quarterly closing processes under local GAAP.
- Ensure accurate period-end adjustments and prepare:
- Reconciliations
- Supporting schedules
- Align local financials with group accounting policies.
Group Reporting
- Prepare and submit country financial group reports to Headquarters quarterly, in line with the group reporting timetable.
- Maintain:
- Accurate trial balances
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Variance analyses
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and file:
- VAT returns
- Statistical filings
- Other regulatory declarations
- Ensure compliance with:
- Corporate income tax
- Withholding tax
- Local tax requirements
- Serve as the primary contact for:
- External auditors
- Tax consultants
- Local authorities
Annual Financial Statements
- Liaise with external auditors to prepare statutory financial statements under local legal requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and manage year-end audit processes, if required.
Process Ownership & Miscellaneous
- Maintain well-documented accounting procedures and ensure effective internal controls in PSI UK.
- Proactively identify opportunities to:
- Streamline finance processes
- Improve efficiency
- Participate in global financial projects, as requested.
- Provide ad-hoc support on finance and accounting matters.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent preferred).
- CPA/ACCA/ACCA Part-qualified a strong advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience, ideally in a multinational environment.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Accounting processes
- Finance operations
- Ability to work independently and manage:
- Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
- Experience in an international finance environment, including local and group reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- UK accounting principles
- Legislation and statutory requirements
- Deep understanding of:
- UK tax regulations
- Indirect and direct tax declarations
- SAP experience is a plus.
