About LMC Chartered Accountants

LMC Chartered Accountants is a fast-growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice supporting clients across Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

We are a modern, digital firm with a strong focus on high-quality client service, proactive advice and clear communication. Due to continued growth and our expansion into the Republic of Ireland market, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with strong knowledge of Irish accounts and taxation.

This is a senior role with the opportunity to play a key part in developing and managing our Republic of Ireland client portfolio.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced accountant who has completed relevant Republic of Ireland tax examinations and has practical experience preparing Irish company accounts and tax returns.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of Republic of Ireland clients and oversee the delivery of accounts, corporation tax, VAT and Relevant Contracts Tax compliance.

You will also provide technical support to the wider team, review work prepared by junior staff and help develop the firm’s Irish accounting and tax offering.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of Republic of Ireland companies, sole traders and partnerships.
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements for Irish companies.
  • Preparing and reviewing Irish corporation tax returns.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Managing Relevant Contracts Tax registrations, notifications, deductions and returns.
  • Preparing and reviewing income tax returns where required.
  • Advising clients on Irish tax compliance, filing deadlines and payment obligations.
  • Reviewing bookkeeping and accounting records completed by junior team members.
  • Managing client deadlines and ensuring all Revenue and CRO submissions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Liaising directly with clients and Irish Revenue.
  • Supporting clients with VAT, PAYE, RCT and corporation tax registrations.
  • Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities within the client portfolio.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to other members of the team.
  • Assisting with the development of internal Irish tax procedures, checklists and training materials.
  • Supporting the directors with the continued growth of the firm’s Republic of Ireland operations.
  • Maintaining high standards of client care, accuracy and professional communication.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
