Role Description
This part-time Accountant role is a hybrid position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling bank and payment accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers for the marketplace’s operations.

Responsibilities

- Preparing financial reports
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Supporting cash flow monitoring
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax requirements
- Collaborating with operations and leadership teams on budgeting
- Improving financial processes and controls
- Providing clear financial insights to support decision-making in a fast-paced hospitality and technology environment
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and preparation of basic financial statements.
- Experience with accounting software and financial systems; proficiency in spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations; familiarity with international or multi-currency transactions is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records under time constraints.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid (office and remote) setting.
- Prior experience in hospitality, property management, marketplace platforms, or startups is beneficial.
- Relevant professional qualification or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; part-qualified or qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is a plus.
- High ethical standards, discretion with confidential information, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
