Job Description

A specialist Accountancy Practice based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, who have quickly expanded their client base across the UK are recruiting for an experienced Accountant who has worked within a Practice. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service, providing honest advice, and offering forward-thinking solutions tailored to each client's needs.

The Accountant will be ACCA / ACA qualified and have a number of years working within an Accountancy Practice using Xero or Sage and work closely with their clients in person / video calls to offer support the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare financial accounts to trial balance stage for clients.
  • Corporation Tax: Prepare and compute corporation tax returns.
  • Management Accounts: Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for clients.
  • Personal Tax Returns: Assist in the preparation of personal tax returns.
  • VAT: Complete and submit VAT returns for clients.
  • CIS Returns: Ideally able to submit Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns.
  • Bookkeeping: Perform bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations, managing supplier and customer invoices.
  • Client Contact: Maintain strong communication with clients, providing them with financial support and updates.
  • Xero Knowledge: Preferable to have experience with Xero accounting software.
