Interim Financial Accountant (6-Month Contract) – Group Forecasting & Reporting
twentyAI is supporting a global private equity business in its search for a 6-month interim Financial Accountant, specialising in forecasting, budgeting, and group reporting. This critical role sits at the heart of the finance function, delivering high-quality monthly close processes and reporting for Board-level and Executive Committees, while driving efficiency through data tooling and AI-assisted workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Group monthly close process, including timetables, submission packs, and flash reporting
- Own monthly performance analysis (vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods), ensuring clear and actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- Support central head office close activities, prioritising key balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with regional finance teams to improve forecasting and budgeting processes, enhancing accuracy and adaptability
- Leverage data tools and AI platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to:
- Automate reporting efficiency
- Streamline financial analysis workflows
- Improve insight generation through AI-assisted intelligence
- Identify and implement improvements across reporting, controls, and finance operations

Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a qualified accountant in management reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, preferably in a complex, international environment
- Strong data capability, with proficiency in:
- Advanced Excel (complex modelling, P&L, variance analysis)
- Ideally, exposure to SQL or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to:
- Automate reporting or financial workflows
- Enhance financial analysis LLMs
- Robust ownership of month-end close and group reporting cycles
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with senior stakeholder exposure
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable juggling multiple cross-functional workstreams
