Due to continued success and expansion, a leading practice has a new vacancy for an experienced and motivated Accountant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to the continued success of a growing practice.
The Person
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Preparing corporation tax, self-assessment and partnership tax returns.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping queries and cloud accounting software.
- Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Advising clients on tax and accounting matters.
- Reviewing management accounts where required.
- Supporting junior team members and reviewing their work where appropriate.
- Building long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to add value.

The Person

- ACA or ACCA qualification (or is qualified by experience).
- At least 3 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax legislation.
- Experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Freeagent or Sage.
