Scienion is a leading provider of precision dispensing technologies for the life science industry. As part of the global BICO Group, we develop innovative solutions that enable scientists around the world to accelerate research and improve healthcare.
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our UK business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions. You will also lead a small local team while partnering closely with colleagues across the BICO Group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial performance reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and credit control activities.
- Oversee VAT, PAYE, and other statutory financial obligations.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and group reporting requirements.
- Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple international group companies.
- Lead continuous improvements of financial processes and internal controls.
- Support ERP development and act as key user for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams on quotations, financial analysis, and business decisions.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports through regular feedback and performance management.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualification (or currently studying towards one) or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero, or comparable ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
