Accounting Technical Services Senior Manager

About The Team
The Accounting Technical Services team provides specialist accounting and corporate reporting support to audit teams and clients nationally. With a focus on complex IFRS and UK GAAP matters, the team ensures high-quality, consistent audit support.
As an Accounting Technical Services Senior Manager, you’ll lead technical accounting and corporate reporting across Industry & Services, specialising in large and listed entities. Your role involves close collaboration with audit teams andClient.
About The Role
- Technical Accounting Leadership: Deliver high-quality accounting and corporate reporting support for Industry & Services, emphasising complex IFRS and UK GAAP matters, including listed entities.
- Technical Consultations: Address and resolve accounting and corporate reporting queries from audit teams, offering clear and practical solutions grounded in well-researched standards.
- Corporate Reporting Quality Review: Review financial statements for compliance, quality, consistency with IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 101/FRS 102) and UK Company Law, covering FTSE-listed, international groups, and large private companies.
- Technical Support: Provide bespoke technical accounting support to high-value audit clients, including navigating complex scenarios, researching applicable standards, and delivering commercially insightful solutions.
- Industry & Services Specialism: Act as the subject matter expert for Industry & Services, supporting audit teams on sector-specific accounting challenges.

Requirements
We’re looking for impactful candidates with:
Professional Qualification
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Technical Accounting Expertise
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 101, FRS 102) and UK Company Law, with the ability to analyse and apply standards to complex real-world cases.
Consultation Experience
- Proven background evaluating accounting issues, resolving intricate fact patterns, and delivering expert technical advice to audit teams and clients.

- Significant experience working across UK Public Interest Entities (PIEs), listed companies, and large privately owned businesses.
