An experienced Accounting & Insights Manager is required to lead the Record-to-Report (R2R) function for the organisation's largest market. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, statutory compliance, financial insights and continuous improvement initiatives while managing and developing a team of finance professionals.

Working closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Technology and senior business stakeholders, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls and drive automation across finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) month-end and period-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and coordinate external audit activities.
  • Deliver financial analysis, variance reporting and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives through automation and improved digital reporting capabilities.
  • Review and strengthen financial controls, data integrity and risk management processes.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for Tax, Treasury and other global finance functions on accounting matters.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, supporting performance, engagement and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Technology and the wider business.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability and reporting quality.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R) or audit within a complex or matrix organisation.
  • Proven experience leading and developing finance or accounting teams.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Strong ERP systems experience and advanced financial analysis skills.
  • Exposure to reporting and analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL or similar technologies is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and transformation initiatives.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in process optimisation and automation.
