The Opportunity
Join our General Accounting team within the Shared Service Centre (SSC), supporting Arup’s global operations across UKIMEA, the Americas and Europe. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, delivering high-quality accounting, reconciliation and reporting services that underpin strong financial control and compliance.
Working closely with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Tax, Payroll and International Mobility, you’ll contribute to efficient and consistent finance processes across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations, payment processing and daily cash management
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity, including accruals and prepayments
- Manage intercompany accounting, including invoicing and reconciliations
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and disposals
- Support employee-related accounting, including international mobility balances
- Assist with VAT, tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements
- Provide audit support and respond to internal and external queries
- Contribute to ad hoc activities, including vendor master data, joint ventures and P&L reconciliations

Is This Role Right for You?
- Demonstrable accounting experience within a general ledger or bookkeeping environment
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to work accurately to deadlines in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
