In this position you will be involved in the preparation and review financial statements. This high profiled role will involve business partnering and providing support to key stakeholders both within head office and daily rental teams. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure and experience in this area of business.

- Location: This role will be based in Leeds. The position will be office based.
- Salary: £29,500 per year
- Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00

Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be placed onto the Business Management development scheme, intended to give detailed exposure to our financial statement & business practices, in order to develop employees for future leadership roles within the team. You will be offered support to study a professional accounting qualification. This is an excellent role if you are a self-motivated individual who is able to demonstrate drive in a busy and dynamic department, great communication skills, an analytical mind set and superb initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements in line with fiduciary responsibilities.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly schedule reconciliations to audit standards, including bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights that support cost control, operational improvements, and strategic decision-making.
- Ethical Standards: Uphold and promote a culture of ethical financial practice aligned with our core values.
- Team Culture: Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and engaging team environment.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and actively pursue a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).

Qualifications
- We are looking for candidates that meet following criteria:
- You must have a full manual UK driving licence
- No drug or alcohol related offence on driving record within the last five years is permitted
- In accordance with current government guidelines, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role as the role does not appear on the Home Office list of RQF Level 6 roles approved for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker system.

- Accounting / Finance-related degree is preferred
- Has experience in administration within an accounts or finance environment
- A commitment to undertake ACCA or CIMA to progress towards being a chartered accountant
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- An ability to work to strict deadlines
