Accounting Manager
Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex (Onsite) Salary: £70,000 Type: Full-time, Permanent
My client, a global manufacturing and technology business, is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead its regional finance operations. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for financial reporting, team management, compliance, and process improvement across multiple international entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the accounting team, including performance management and coaching
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with US GAAP requirements
- Oversee month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Manage relationships with shared service centres and outsourced providers
- Support cash management, forecasting, payroll, and supplier payment processes
- Act as a key contact for internal audits and compliance activities
- Drive finance process improvements and system enhancements
- Support wider European and global finance initiatives

Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar
- 5+ years' experience in accounting or finance leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial controls
- Experience managing teams and outsourced service providers
- SAP experience and advanced Excel skills
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience within a multinational manufacturing environment advantageous
