Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, leading the monthly close process, audit and compliance efforts, forecasting and budgeting, and providing guidance for the Service and Solutions organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial statements, performing margin and SG&A analysis, and providing actionable insights to meet divisional KPI’s. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

Your Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and leadership in the management of accounting practices and develops policies in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and approve journal entries and complete reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams; aligning, managing, and ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Perform variance analysis and complete bridge reports on actuals vs. targets or prior results.
  • Reconcile sales and cost of goods sold and review profitability by selling location.
  • Consolidate, interpret, and present financial results to our operations and leadership teams.
  • Financial planning with annual budget creation, revised budget, and making forecast changes.
  • Lead the annual cost roll process and standards revision.
  • Drive process improvement and act as a key business partner for regional and divisional teams.
  • Interacts with internal and external auditors and participates in occasional auditing projects.
  • Manage employees by establishing goals, reviewing progress, and providing feedback during performance reviews.
  • Develops and determines priorities and monitors the status of special projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Occasional travel to support inventory counts or support operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of major ERP & consolidation systems, technical accounting

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $153,300 + 10% - 15% bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
