UNIQLO Accounting Manager Role

We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager, based at our European Head Office in London. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners across both local and European markets.
This is an opportunity for someone with strong technical accounting expertise and a passion for driving financial control in a fast-paced, international environment. You will play a key role in ensuring IFRS and J-SOX compliance across multiple markets, partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to deliver accurate reporting, strengthen controls, and provide valuable commercial insight. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and influencing decision-making within a dynamic global organisation.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Ensure IFRS and J-SOX compliance, including quarterly and annual reporting and disclosures.
- Own the financial control and balance sheet integrity of designated markets.
- Lead and develop Financial Accountants, providing coaching and support.
- Review and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
- Partner with Corporate Planning, Inventory Accuracy, Procurement, Stores, and Ecommerce teams to provide business insight and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with and support our centralised Accounting and AP teams to drive operational excellence.

Skills, Experience And Attributes
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
- Excellent understanding of balance sheet and P&L accounting.
- Audit background preferred, with additional commercial/in-house experience.
- Experience leading, reviewing, and developing the work of others.
- Experience working with outsourced or shared-service finance functions is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English; additional European language skills are advantageous.
