Accounting Manager - Corporate & Business Services
Location: Reading

Reporting to: Senior Manager
Lead, Influence and Grow with a Global Business
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Corporate & Business Services team at Apex. This is a key leadership role where you will take ownership of client delivery, manage and develop a team, and play a commercially important part in the continued growth of the business.

You'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor while driving high-quality service and identifying opportunities to add value.

What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and deliver a coordinated service to a portfolio of clients
- Take ownership of accounting output and financial service delivery (outsourced CFO/FC support)
- Lead day-to-day team operations, including workflow and resource planning
- Oversee management accounts, financial reporting, and client deliverables
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Collaborate with international teams, including India and Mauritius service centres
- Ensure high technical standards across all accounting deliverables
- Manage team billing and contribute to financial performance
- Identify opportunities for additional services and revenue growth

What We're Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong experience in financial reporting (UK GAAP / IFRS)
- Proven background in management accounts preparation and review
- Audit experience
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify growth opportunities
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A client-focused mindset with a high standard of delivery
