Accounting Specialist – Remote (Contract)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $20–$60/hour
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Accounting Specialist to work on a contract basis. The role involves maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance, and preparing financial reporting—collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial integrity and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, reconcile, and manage general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and review financial statements—balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, assisting with tax filings where necessary.
- Process monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities within deadlines.
- Support audit processes, providing documentation and responding promptly to auditor inquiries.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems essential.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) mandatory.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder and team collaboration.
