Accounting Specialist (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $20–$60/hour
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Accountant to work on a contract basis. This position involves:
- Maintaining financial records
- Reconciling accounts
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Delivering accuracy in financial reporting
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile:
- General ledger accounts
- Accounts payable and receivable

Prepare and review financial statements, including:
- Balance sheets
- Income statements
- Cash flow reports

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and assist with tax filings

Process monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities in a timely manner

Support audit processes by:
- Providing accurate documentation
- Responding to auditor requests
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with:
- Stakeholders
- Team members
