apurants seeking an exciting opportunity to join Costello Medical's Finance team as an Accounts Apprentice should read on. This is a full-time, temporary apprenticeship with a start date ideally Monday 7th September 2026, but early applicants may commence Monday 10th August 2026. Applications close on Thursday 30th July 2026, with interviews beginning 13th July for early applicants.


Role Summary

Assist in the smooth running of Costello Medical’s global in-house Finance function while advancing towards the Level 3 AAT qualification. Salary is £22,500 per annum, with generous benefits including:

About the Role

Costello Medical, a rapidly growing global healthcare agency, seeks an ambitious Accounts Apprentice to support its Finance team in our Cambridge office. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with sales ledger tasks, including:
    • Preparing and sending invoices
    • Liaising with clients regarding payments
  • Supporting with purchase ledger duties, such as:
    • Processing supplier invoices
    • Responding to payment enquiries
  • Assisting with internal and recharged expenses
  • Entering transactions into financial software
  • Administering petty cash across multiple currencies
  • Providing ad-hoc financial administrative support as required

As an apprentice, you’ll complete the Level 3 AAT qualification (typically 15 months) through First Intuition, which includes classroom-based training, a dedicated coach, and online resources: Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship. After completion, you may eligible for a permanent role at Costello Medical with the option for further study.

Requirements

About You

We’re looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual with:

Essential Criteria

  • GCSE Grade 6+ in Maths and English. A-levels are a strong advantage.
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work and study to meet deadlines
  • Clear written and spoken English, with confidence in communication
  • Self-motivation and a dedication to continuous self-improvement
  • Passion for finance, accounting, or business

Hybrid Working Policy

Hybrid work is flexible, with up to 50% remote work available after passing probation. During probation (6 months), remote work may be limited to 1 day per week.
