Salary - £15,500
Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Holiday - 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

About The Accounts Apprentice Role

Due to continued growth, our Boston office has an opportunity for a full time Accounts Apprentice to join the team in Summer 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start a career in accountancy. As part of an apprenticeship scheme, you will work towards an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT) while gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected firm.
You will join a dynamic accounting team, quickly gain responsibility, and receive the support you need to qualify and build a successful career within accountancy.
Key responsibilities of an Accounts Apprentice
- Contribute to the wider accounts team whilst studying towards the AAT qualification
- Responsible for accounts preparation
- Support the completion of VAT returns and related compliance work
- Carry out bookkeeping activities, including maintaining accurate financial records
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies
- Process purchase invoices using accounting software, primarily Xero
- Reconcile purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ensure client files are well organised with all relevant documentation maintained
- Engage with colleagues and clients to obtain information required for accounts preparation
- Progressively take on responsibility for direct client communication, building strong relationships

About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Strong GCSE results in both Maths and English, grade 4 or above
- A levels (C and above) or equivalent
- A keen interest in accountancy and looking to study for an accountancy qualification
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Basic Excel skills are advantageous
- Professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and ambitious to develop
- Able to work well within a team and manage own workload
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- You need to have a current right to work in the UK
