Accounts Assistant | Scaling Media & Entertainment SME | Central London | up to £35,000
I've partnered with an incredibly dynamic, fast-growing Media & Entertainment business based in Central London to find an hands-on Accounts Assistant.
This is a brilliant opportunity to embed yourself within a creative, scaling SME. As the company continues to expand its footprint in the entertainment space, your career and responsibilities can grow directly alongside the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process
- Verifying that transactions are recorded correctly for the supplier’s ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Bringing the books to the trial balance stage
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports
- Manage the filing of invoices and expenses, scanning, archiving, and shredding of older files.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Previous experience of SAGE
- Knowledge of the Tour Operator Margin scheme (TOMS) desirable
- Ad-hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager

What’s on Offer:
- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
- Location: London – Hybrid Working, 3 days in 2 at home
