Salary Guide: £29,000
Our client, a fast-growing, independent Property Management Company operating across Scotland and England, is looking for a switched-on Accounts Assistant to join the team.
Experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable, or currently working in a similar role would be desirable.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process high volumes of purchase invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate purchase ledger records in our accounting system, Xero, and the property management system, SME
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries promptly
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative and reporting tasks

About You
- Proven experience in a purchase ledger, accounts payable, or similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when working with high volumes
- Proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with suppliers and colleagues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
