Accounts Assistant – Carlisle
Salary up to £35k
Are you an AAT qualified accounts professional looking for your next career step? Join a dynamic finance team in Carlisle and take your skills to the next level! This forward-thinking manufacturer are looking to grow their team with an Accounts Assistant with strong experience across all transactional finance duties. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of our accounts function.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing day-to-day transactional finance activities, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Preparing and assisting with VAT, payroll, and other routine financial reporting.
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes to ensure timely and accurate accounts.
- Liaising with internal teams and external clients to resolve queries and maintain accurate records.

What we’re looking for:
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) with solid hands-on experience in transactional finance.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- A proactive team player who is eager to learn and grow.
