Accounts Assistant
Location: East Birmingham (On-site)
Salary: £27,000 plus benefits & study support

We are working with a growing housebuilder based in Birmingham that is looking to recruit an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join its finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting and Finance graduate, or someone early in their finance career, who is looking to build their experience within the housebuilding or construction sector. The successful candidate will ideally have some previous exposure to accounts within construction, property, housebuilding, or a similar industry, and will be keen to start studying towards ACCA or CIMA.

The Role
As Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance team with a range of day-to-day accounting duties, including:
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Assisting with subcontractor and supplier accounts
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounts administration
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Accounting and Finance, or a similar finance-related qualification
- Some previous accounts or finance experience
- Ideally, experience within the housebuilding, construction, property, or development sector
- A keen interest in starting ACCA or CIMA studies
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with numbers
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
