Accounts Assistant
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Are you looking to develop your finance career within a supportive, collaborative, and growing business?
We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a friendly finance team based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or someone with some initial finance experience who is keen to gain exposure across a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function. This position offers excellent development opportunities and exposure to all aspects of transactional finance and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Raising sales invoices
- Preparing and distributing client statements
- Processing bank payments and receipts
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Managing employee expenses, company credit cards, and petty cash
- Assisting with credit control activities
- Supporting month-end reconciliations and reporting
- Assisting with year-end audit preparations
- Resolving finance-related queries in a timely manner
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties

About You
- Previous experience within an accounts or finance role
- Degree educated in Accounting, Finance, Business, Maths, or a related discipline (desirable)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sage 200 experience would be beneficial but is not essential
