Your Role
As a Gensler Accounts Assistant for our European region, you will be a proactive team player within the Finance team. You will be successful because you are highly organised and financially rigorous, analytical, and with an excellent attention to detail. Join a team of highly creative, collaborative colleagues to ensure our work is financially sound.
What You Will Do
- Processing Cash Receipts
- Accounts Receivable reporting
- Assist with Collections
- Assist with the processing the weekly employee expense claims
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- To assist with our Project Accountants on Reimbursable Back-up
- To assist Accounts Payable with various monthly tasks
- Monitoring and reconciliation of Fixed Assets
- Produce and communicate various weekly reports
- Assist with any general data entry (Journal Entries, etc)
- Be proactive in streamlining processes and improving internal control procedures
- Develop understanding of our accounting software so that you are seen as an expert and a resource to staff
- Cross-train and work closely with other team members so that we function as a cohesive and high performing team. Assist the team with any ad-hoc projects or analyses.

Your Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience of general accounting
- Relevant Accounting certification a plus
- Experience of dealing with foreign currencies
- Experience in financial analysis, accounting required
- Strong research and analysis skills
- Excellent working knowledge of advanced Excel and other MS tools.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint and Tableau is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and to try new things
- Financial rigour, analytical ability, and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate with all level stakeholders
