The Main Duties of the Role Include
- Processing daily bank payments and receipts while maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers
- Reconciling bank and vehicle funding accounts
- Managing vehicle purchase ledger accounts
- Preparing month-end reconciliations and supporting nominal ledger processes
- Producing weekly and monthly financial reports, analysis, and cashflow information
- Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal processing
- Using advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, to analyse financial data
- Identifying and resolving reporting errors while supporting continuous process improvements
- Providing general support to the finance team and undertaking ad hoc duties as required
Your Profile
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Ideally studying towards an Accountancy qualification or part/full AAT qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification)
- Motor trade experience would be advantageous, as would a working knowledge of Kerridge/Drive
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team

Salary and Hours
- £27,000 per annum
- Working hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
- The Accounts Assistant role is fully office based
