Your New Role

A well-established organisation located near Hereford is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the finance team during a busy period. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team, gaining exposure to a varied finance role within a fast-paced environment.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide support across a range of finance functions, including:

  • Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Credit control and cash allocation
  • Assisting with payment runs
  • Supporting month-end processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Resolving supplier and customer queries
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar finance position
  • Good understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to start in late August
