Accounts Assistant Opportunity at Van Mossel Automotive Group
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our team at Van Mossel Automotive Group.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will join a collaborative and supportive finance team that takes pride in delivering accurate, timely financial information. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple areas of the accounts function, where you will play an important part in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the department while contributing to a positive team environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Producing ad hoc reports and financial information as required.
- Reconciling warranty accounts, intercompany balances, company credit cards, and finance products.
- Reconciling used vehicle, demonstrator vehicle, and other stock-related accounts.
- Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and accounting duties.
- Ensuring all financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
What you will need to be an Accounts Assistant at Van Mossel
- Ideally, a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant, Credit Control, or similar finance role.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
- A proactive and methodical approach to work.
- Good working knowledge of finance systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality

Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 08.30 - 17.00.
