Why this role matters: This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth financial management of client matters within the Motion Capacity team. By maintaining accurate records, processing payments efficiently, and supporting key financial processes, you help safeguard client finances while enabling the wider team to deliver a high-quality, compliant service. Your attention to detail and collaborative approach directly contribute to building trust with clients and ensuring their financial affairs are managed with care and integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Provide support to the Unit Leader and wider Mental Capacity team on all client-related financial matters
- Process payments across the caseload in line with agreed terms, resolving any queries efficiently
- Assist with the preparation and submission of costing files to the Senior Courts Costs Office, liaising with costs draftsmen and the Court
- Carry out weekly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and monitoring cash flow
- Open and maintain client accounts as required
- Undertake general administrative tasks, including:
- Completing forms
- Supplier correspondence
- Data entry
- Ensure a high standard of service, quality, and compliance in line with firm policies

What We’re Looking For
- Experience of accounts processes and managing individual client budgets
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with numerical data
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively and build strong working relationships
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- A proactive, flexible team player with a positive approach
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively across teams and practice areas
