Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller
Financial Controller Assistant (Sales Ledger & Reconciliations)
Reporting to: The Financial Controller
You will be responsible for:
- Managing sales ledger duties
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Allocating payments
- Resolving finance queries
- Conducting credit control activities and customer account reporting
- Performing intercompany reconciliations and stock-related finance processes
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting the Financial Controller with broader duties
- Enabling audit preparation, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Ensuring the sales ledger remains accurate and closed within reporting deadlines

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant who excels in a fast-paced environment, delivering highly accurate financial information with confidence.
Requirements & Qualifications
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance position
- A strong understanding of:
- Reconciliations
- ledger management
- month-end processes
- Experience with:
- Audit support
- VAT processes
- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Experience using accounting software and reporting systems
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating across the business
- A positive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- A proactive, resilient attitude, with a willingness to take ownership
