Beyond Talent Solutions are proud to be supporting a growing organisation in their search for an Accounts Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy finance environment and enjoys being hands-on in the day-to-day running of a finance function.
You will play a key part in ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date, supporting process improvements, and partnering across departments to provide efficient financial support.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of finance activities, including:
Transactional Finance
- Daily recording of bank receipts and payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing customer sales invoices
- Credit control and debt chasing
- Managing the purchase order process, including issuing POs
- End to end purchase ledger management including invoice processing, query resolution and statement reconciliations
- Posting journals and assisting with month-end reporting

Additional Finance Duties
- Reconciling and posting employee expenses
- Updating and reconciling the fixed asset register
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting in preparing VAT returns
- Assisting with monthly payroll processing
- Supporting regular stock takes and maintaining stock listings
- Updating costing reports
- Providing general support to the Finance Manager as required

Requirements
To be successfully considered for the role you will bring the following:
- AAT (or equivalent) qualification - desirable
- Experience in a similar finance/accounts role
- Strong IT skills - including Excel
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive, analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Trustworthiness and reliability
