Accounts Assistant - Film Industry

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual, including recent graduates, who is looking to develop a career within finance and gain valuable experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and treasury functions.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ambition to develop their technical skills and work towards a professional finance qualification - ACCA/CIMA.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger

  • Processing, authorising, and filing supplier invoices
  • Processing authorised employee expense claims
  • Completing supplier statement and account reconciliations
  • Reviewing and reconciling purchase ledgers
  • Maintaining accurate invoice records and files

Sales Ledger

  • Processing, authorising, and filing customer invoices
  • Supporting credit control activities
  • Completing customer statement and account reconciliations
  • Reviewing and reconciling sales ledgers
  • Maintaining accurate customer invoice records and files

Treasury

  • Completing weekly bank reconciliations
  • Managing petty cash reconciliations
  • Preparing, generating, and posting BACS payment runs
  • Maintaining accurate bank records and files

Skills & Experience

  • You will be a graduate in accounting and finance - 2:1 or above or AAT qualified with some accounting experience
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across all levels of the business
