Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant to support daily accounting operations, financial administration, and reporting activities. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial documentation, and supporting the finance team in ensuring efficient and compliant financial operations.
The Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial information accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices
- Verifying financial documents
- Preparing payment requests
- Recording financial transactions
- Reconciling bank and ledger accounts
- Maintaining accounting records
- Supporting financial reporting activities
The role also involves assisting with budgeting, expense tracking, financial data entry, document management, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures and accounting standards.

The Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant will collaborate closely with finance managers, accountants, business departments, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and timely completion of accounting activities. Responsibilities include:
- Responding to finance-related inquiries
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Supporting process improvements
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, analytical thinking, and a high level of accuracy. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, professionalism, and commitment to financial integrity are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and financial documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting or financial management software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to process financial transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
- Understanding of budgeting, expense management, and financial record-keeping practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to prepare financial reports, maintain documentation, and support audit and compliance activities.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with accounting standards, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Strong customer service mindset and willingness to support both internal and external stakeholders.
