Job Title: Accounts Assistant (Accounts Receivable Focus) Client: Global Design Consultancy – Established architecture and design consultancy Location: London (predominantly on-site, with flexible hours)

Harmonic are supporting a world-leading architecture and design consultancy with a search for an Accounts Assistant specialising in accounts receivable to strengthen their London finance team.
The business is a respected industry leader, working across commercial, cultural, and civic projects at global scale with an established international team and over decades of experience.
The London office houses a collaborative, high-performing finance function, central to their creative, multi-disciplinary operation. The team cultivates a strong culture and practice of long-term retention, reflecting its solid professional environment.
About the Role
This is an AR-focused Accounts Assistant role requiring international scope. Key responsibilities include:
- Cash receipts and collections processing
- Balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset management
- Monthly reporting and expense claims support
- Accounts payable (AP) assistance as required
- Project cost reimbursement backup with the accounting team

Key Responsibilities
- Process cash receipts accurately and maintain a clean, reconciled accounts receivable ledger
- Develop AR reports and actively support collections
- Process weekly employee expense claims
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist with fixed asset monitoring
- Collaborate with the project accounting team for reimbursable back-up documentation
- Assist the Accounts Payable (AP) team in the preparation of monthly tasks, journal entries, and data entry
- Compile and communicate weekly reports to various stakeholders
- Identify process improvements and enhance internal financial controls
What We Need to See (Essential)

- 2–5 years of general accounting experience with accounts receivable (AR) focus
- Excellent Excel handling and proficiency in MS Office suite
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Clear communicator who can manage priorities and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, ownership-driven approach to role responsibilities
What Would Be Great to See (Desirable)
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions
- A background in professional services, specifically architecture, engineering, or project leadership
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or a comparable ERP system
Remuneration & Conditions
- Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (scale dependent on experience)
- Bonus: Bi-annual performance-based contribution
- Location: London (regular office attendance with some flexible work opportunities)
- Commencement: ASAP
