Remote (UK) £28,000 – £35,000
We're partnering with a fast-growing business in the creative and entertainment sector to recruit an EMEA Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional looking to develop their career in a collaborative, international, remote environment, working closely with the CFO and Senior Financial Accountant to support the day-to-day finance function across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The Role
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Match invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation (where required)
- Prepare and assist with supplier payment runs
- Maintain supplier accounts and resolve invoice/payment queries
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
Accounts Receivable
- Raise and issue customer invoices
- Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate customer records
- Monitor outstanding balances and support credit control activities
- Follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment queries
- Prepare debtor reports (as required)
Banking & Reconciliations
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile company credit card and employee expense accounts
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies
- Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded

Bookkeeping & Month-End Support
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Post journals and support balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for management accounts
- Provide information to external accountants/auditors (as required)
Financial Administration
- Maintain finance records and filing systems
- Support VAT and other statutory reporting where applicable
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis
- Contribute to improving finance processes, systems, and controls
About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Harnessing a minimum of one of the following roles:

Accounts Assistant

Finance Assistant
-
Bookkeeper
-
Similar finance-related roles
-
Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Strong numerical and analytical skills
-
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Robust organisational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Demonstrated capability to work independently in a remote setting
Desirable Skills
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite
- Knowledge of payment platforms like Tipalti
- Experience in an SME (Small to Medium-sized Enterprise) environment
- Understanding of VAT and general bookkeeping principles
- Prior exposure to creative sectors, particularly:
- Music, media, or entertainment finance
- Royalty reporting processes
- Artist payments publishing administration
- Music distribution finance
