About the Company
We are working with a well-established and growing business operating within the construction and infrastructure sector, supporting major projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their experience within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will be involved in a broad range of accounting and finance activities, contributing to the smooth operation of the finance function and supporting the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with month-end accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Preparing journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity.
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Processing and reconciling transactions across multiple entities.
- Supporting banking activities, cash management, and financial controls.
- Providing information and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with audit preparation and compliance requirements.
- Supporting finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertaking additional finance and administrative duties as required.

About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates who possess:
- Previous experience within a finance, accounting, accounts assistant, or bookkeeper position.
- A good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other finance systems.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
