Accounts Assistant (Practice) - Hybrid Working
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
Location: Hybrid - Work from home up to 4 days per week
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and growing accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who is looking for genuine flexibility and a supportive working environment.
For the right candidate, we offer a highly flexible hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to work from home up to four days per week.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting a varied portfolio of clients, with duties including:
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Preparing and submitting self-assessment tax returns
- Assisting with management accounts
- Liaising with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Supporting senior members of the team with a range of accounting duties

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice (essential)
- AAT qualification or be Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and VAT
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage (desirable)
